Good condition, several splits at the folds, some darkening to folds, inner hinges of covers splitting,. Rare large-scale edition of this early map of Utah at 8 miles to 1 inch scale. Seven city maps on lower border. The map was also published in smaller more common version at 16 miles to 1 inch and very rare 6 miles to 1 inch wall map. West was a prominent Mormon surveyor and railroad engineer. This copy was presented by Abraham Doremus, Utah state engineer to noted railroad engineer Virgil Bogue. Weight: 0.3 lb.
