Color geological map frontis, numerous b&w illustrations. Bottom 1” of front cover water damaged not affecting contents, some blue and red pencil underlining in text, otherwise a good plus copy. A nice 19th century book for anyone interested in geology. NOTE: this book cover may have been produced during the ‘arsenic green’ era. While the color began falling out of popularity in the 1860’s, this book has not been tested and should be stored and handled appropriately.
