Very good condition, moderate wesr to corners and spine ends, scattered marginal soiling. ; Five of the Department Maps have been previously removed, but supplied loose from other copies. These six maps are trimmed to the neatlines and the corners are chipped. The Drome map has two small holes in the image. The Herault map is detached from the binding and the margins are chipped. All other maps including the colonial maps, two continental maps of Africa, North America, South America, Asia, and Oceana, and the two-page map of France are present and attached with full margins. Margins of most maps are lightly soiled from 150 years of handling. All the maps are beautifully engraved with outline color and illustrated borders. The North American map shows Mexico extending to Oregon, and Texas as a separate country.
