Bottom back board has a break in the leather where the board has been bent. Page edges are slightly soiled and lightly foxed, and the pages are moderately tanned and foxed throughout. Albin Mesnel was a prolific French illustrator known for his detailed biological drawings, and his work was included in numerous scientific publications, including La pêche et les poissons and the works of M.
