A document to file a lawsuit to collect a debt of fourteen pounds, seven pence on Taney’s printed form as an attorney in Frederick County, Maryland. Manuscript text appears to be in Taney’s hand. Framed with a portrait of Taney. Taney went on to a brilliant political career and served as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court 1836-1874. Heavy, may require extra shipping. weight: 6.7 lb.
