Hardcover, green cloth and purple suede covers. 14x20x4 : 19x12x5 : 19x12x5: 28×23.5×5 cm. Various publishers. 1902 – 1937. 64, 310, 95, 87 postcards. Very good, some cards have torn corners, many have short letters in both sides. Russian, German, Swiss and French cards. A collection of cards collected by Madame Hirsch-Gereuth of Munich and later Geneva. Many have letters on the front and back and are addressed to Madame Hirsch-Gereuth. Most Russian cards have Moscow postmarks. A mix of photo cards, chromolithograph cards, and silhouette cards. Many have military themes. Many are unmarked and unsent. The Hirsch-Gereuth family included several prominent Jewish businessmen, most well known of which is philanthropist Maurice who is remembered as founder of the Jewish Colonization Association.
