Various publishers. New York. 1842 – 1843. Very good, moderate wear to covers, inner hinges repaired, light toning and foxing to pages, old pencil notes to ffep. Printed in small type and double columns on newsprint, these cheap editions were sold for 12-1/2 cents. Being quite fragile, they have become scarce. The first American editions of “American Notes” and “The Private Secretary” are rare. Heavy book, may require extra shipping. weight: 4.0 lb.
