Good copy with leather worn through on corner. Lower headband is coming loose with some missing leather at the corner of the spine, lacks ffep. Previous owner’s marks in pen and pencil to first (blank) page. pp. xxv-xxxvi are heavily tanned, and there is intermittent tanning and foxing throughout the text block. French text. The author was friends with Molière, who may have been inspired by his satire. Scarce. weight: 0.8 lb.
