The author did ultimately claim to be remorseful prior to his sentencing and this work is considered to be one of the most detailed descriptions of the inner workings and leadership of Nazi Germany. This copy is warmly inscribed to Col. William Etchemendy (of Gardnerville, Nevada) and signed by the author on the half-title page. Colonel Etchemendy’s ink name and German address at the top of the half-title page.
